DCI Reporter v3 presentation

The new edition of DCI Reporter is composed of three different parts, described below

-------------------------
THE DCI Reporter software
-------------------------

The Software files comes up in 2 different type of files, the FULL INSTALLATION, or the UPDATE.

_________________
FULL INSTALLATION

The FULL INSTALLATION software contains the latest PIN dci database (This is the file referencing all DCI numbers with the names of players). This makes the file bigger to send out and should only be sent once to a TO.

The zipped Full installation is named
DCIReporter_v3_Full.zip

The self extractible Full installation is named
DCIReporterUpdate.exe
and should be sent to people that may not have the winzip application (Please note that Sending an .exe file is most likely to fail because most Internet Providers have filters to avoid risky executables)

The DCI Reporter application will be installed by default in
C:\Program Files\Wizards of the Coast\Version3

______
UPDATE

The UPDATE software only contains the latest version of DCI Reporter, without the Pin database file.

The zipped Full installation is named
DCIReporter_v3_Full.zip

The self extractible Full installation is named
DCIReporterUpdate.exe
and should be sent to people that may not have the winzip application (Please note that Sending an .exe file is most likely to fail because most Internet Providers have filters to avoid risky executables)

-------------------------------
THE DCI Reporter Parameter file
-------------------------------

The parameter file defines what the DCI Reporter user can and can't do. It drives the list of games available as well as the list of options a TO can use.
It contains text files that needs to be copied in the directory
C:\DCIReporterUSer

The Public Edition is the most common parameter file available to TOs from the TO download site.

More advanced TOs can contact their local Wizards of the Coast office to get the Advanced Edition parameter file which unlocks features like Side events or networking.

The DCI tournament team defines the functionalities available to the TOs according to the latest TO program rules.
